Job Summary
The Radiographer will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures and ensuring radiation safety protocols are strictly followed. This role involves capturing and processing diagnostic images, maintaining radiologic equipment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide a seamless patient experience. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, technically skilled, and committed to patient care and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of radiologic procedures as required for diagnostic purposes.
Ensure strict adherence to all radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
Capture and process high-quality diagnostic images for accurate analysis.
Maintain and calibrate all radiologic equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including dentists and specialists, for comprehensive patient care.
Engage in patient preparation and education to ensure a smooth and comfortable imaging experience.
Accurately document all procedures and patient information.
Monitor patient well-being and respond to any issues during the imaging process.
Provide technical support to the dental and medical teams as needed.
Ensure a clean and sterile working environment at all times.
Participate in continuous professional development and training.
Assist with inventory management of radiologic supplies.
Uphold a high level of professionalism and patient confidentiality.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major faults promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
A degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
A valid certification or licensure in Radiologic Technology.
Strong skills in Radiologic Technology and a deep knowledge of Radiation Safety principles.
A background in medicine is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and strong technical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a dental or medical setting is an added advantage.
The ability to efficiently handle and operate radiologic equipment.
