Job Summary
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services at Yanah Pharmacy. This includes dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring all operations meet legal and professional standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in pharmacy, be registered, and have at least two years of experience in a retail setting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with prescriptions.
Counsel patients on the proper use of medications, including dosage, side effects, and storage.
Manage and maintain accurate inventory of all pharmaceutical products.
Ensure all medications are stored in a safe and appropriate environment.
Maintain detailed patient records and prescription logs.
Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and ethical guidelines set by the Pharmacy & Poisons Board.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and quality care.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Assist with administrative tasks related to pharmacy operations.
Stay updated on new medications and pharmaceutical best practices.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
A Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
Enrolled by the Pharmacy & Poisons Board.
At least 2 years of experience working in a retail pharmacy.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosages, and drug interactions.
Excellent communication skills.
Computer literate.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
A strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Professional and ethical conduct.
