Job Summary
The Medical Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of surgical and endoscopy products across Kenya. This role requires a self-motivated, results-driven individual with proven experience in medical device sales. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, conduct product demonstrations, and manage tender processes to expand the company's market presence.
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive sales of surgical and endoscopy products throughout Kenya.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, surgeons, and healthcare stakeholders.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and provide in-theatre support during surgical procedures.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
Manage tender processes efficiently and ensure timely reporting to management.
Work closely with international principals for training, updates, and product launches.
Understand complex medical technologies and explain them effectively to diverse audiences.
Travel extensively within Kenya to meet with clients and prospects.
Negotiate contracts and terms of sale to meet or exceed sales targets.
Gather market intelligence on competitor activity and provide insights to the management team.
Provide exceptional customer service and after-sales support.
Participate in relevant medical conferences, workshops, and exhibitions.
Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the surgical portfolio and the wider industry.
Proactively seek out new opportunities for growth and expansion.
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in medical device sales (endoscopy, surgical, or hospital equipment is preferred).
A background in biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
The ability to understand and explain complex medical technologies.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel extensively within Kenya.
Must possess a valid driving license.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A high level of integrity and professional ethics.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
