Job Summary
The Clinical Officer at Oasis Healthcare will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in accordance with medical standards and institutional policies. This role also involves active participation in outreach programs focused on health education, disease prevention, and expanding community access to healthcare services.
Overall Responsibility
To provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in accordance with medical standards and institutional policies. The Clinical Officer will also actively participate in outreach programs aimed at promoting health education, disease prevention, and expanding access to healthcare services within the community.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Conduct patient consultations, diagnosis, and treatment across a range of medical conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate treatment plans including medication, procedures, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports in line with medical documentation standards.
- Provide emergency care and minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Health Outreach & Community Engagement
- Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of community outreach activities.
- Offer medical services during mobile clinics, health camps, and community health drives.
- Conduct health talks, screenings, and awareness sessions during outreach programs.
- Serve as a liaison between the facility and the community in promoting preventive healthcare.
- Collect and report outreach data for follow-up and planning purposes.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, guidelines, and standard treatment procedures.
- Participate in clinical audits, CMEs (Continuous Medical Education), and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support infection prevention and control practices within the clinical environment.
Job Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or equivalent.
- Registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
- Valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a busy healthcare facility.
- Experience in community health or outreach programs is an added advantage.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
