Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya and hold a valid practicing license.   
  • Must be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of biochemical interaction of drugs.
  • Must demonstrate excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently according to prescriptions.   
  • Providing drug information to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring proper storage and handling of medications.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Monitoring drug interactions and adverse effects.
  • Participating in medication management and safety initiatives.
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians and other support staff (if applicable).
  • Adhering to all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
