• Positions: 1
• Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

• General diagnosis, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients.
• Specialized clinical care.
• Psycho-social interventions.
• Clinical services.
• Training, consulting, and performing surgeries.
• Forensic and medico-legal services.
• Disease surveillance, prevention, and control.
• Health education and promotion.
• Implementing health projects and programs.

Requirements for Appointment:

• Minimum three (3) years as Assistant Director of Medical Services/Medical Specialist II.
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B).
• Master’s degree in Medicine, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.
• Registration and valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
• Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme (minimum 6 weeks).
• Computer application skills certificate.
• Demonstrated professional and managerial competence.

2. MCPSB/001/09/2025: Registered Clinical Officer III Job Group ‘H’

• Positions: 12
• Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Taking patient history, examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Implementing community healthcare activities.
• Guiding and counseling patients and staff.
• Sensitizing patients on preventive and promotive health.
• Minor surgical procedures.
• Collecting and compiling clinical data and referrals.
• Requirements for Appointment:
  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health.
  • Registration certificate from Clinical Officers’ Council.
  • Computer application skills certificate.
  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
  • Valid practice license.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

3. MCPSB/001/10/2025: Pharmaceutical Technologist III Job Group ‘H’

  • Dispensing and compounding medicines.

4. MCPSB/001/11/2015: Medical Lab Technologist III Job Group ‘H’

• Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Decontaminating working benches.
  • Receiving and scrutinizing lab requisition forms and specimens.
  • Preparing clients for specimen collection.
  • Receiving, collecting, labeling, and registering specimens.
  • Preparing reagents, examining specimens, and recording results.
  • Preparing stains and performing blood grouping.
  • Issuing and storing blood products.
• Requirements for Appointment:
  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Registration certificate from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
  • Valid practicing license from KMLTTB.

5. MCPSB/001/13/2025: Medical Social Worker III Job Group ‘H’

• Positions: 1
• Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract
• Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Addressing psychosocial effects related to patients' diagnosis and prognosis.
  • Counseling patients in cases of pandemic diseases, mental illness, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy, etc.
• Requirements for Appointment:
  • KCSE mean grade C or equivalent.
  • Diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or Mental Health.
  • Computer application skills certificate.
  • Fulfillment of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
  • Effective communication skills.

6. MCPSB/001/14/2025: Director Clinical Services, Training & Research Job Group ‘R’ (Coast General Teaching & Referral Hospital)

  • Strategic leadership and governance.
• Requirements for Appointment:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
  • Master’s Degree in Medicine, Public Health, Health Management, Medical Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience (5 in senior leadership).
  • Registration and licensure with KMPDC.
  • Certification in healthcare leadership (added advantage).
  • More than 2 years’ experience in a management position in a busy hospital/university setup.

7. MCPSB/001/15/2025: Director Quality Assurance and Facility Outreach Job Group ‘R’ (Coast General Teaching & Referral Hospital)
