Job Summary
The E-Learning Support Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring that students successfully navigate and engage with online and blended learning environments. This position provides technical support, orientation, and academic guidance to learners, ensuring a seamless online learning experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-course guidance for prospective students, explaining the expectations for blended and virtual learning programs.
- Provide explanations of IT requirements, such as computer access, internet connection, etc.
- Carry out orientation for new blended and virtual learning students, outlining their responsibilities and the university's support commitments.
- Provide students with clear and up-to-date information and documentation about available learning support.
- Prepare a schedule for learner support through timetabled activities such as tutorial sessions, trainings, workshops, or web-based conferences.
- Provide students with ample opportunities to give formal feedback on their blended and virtual learning experiences and programs.
- Provide data for the preparation of program reports, student progress reports, course and material development reports, and student completion reports.
- Ensure adherence to BVL procedures and guidelines in line with national/regional/international agencies for compliance purposes.
- Participate in training academic staff on
the development and review of training manuals to ensure the delivery of quality programs. - Participate in training students in virtual and blended learning at the university.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement) in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or a related field.
- At least two
(2) years of experience in student support services in an online or blended learning environment in an institution of higher learning or comparable organization. - Proficiency in LMS platforms and EdTech tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support students effectively.
- Ability to analyze student engagement data and provide intervention strategies.
